Windows 10: Can't connect to LAN internet after updating drivers with Driver Booster version 9

Hello all,I use driver booster to scan and update my drivers regularly. However I have just encountered a problem and I am not being able to find a fix. I know shouldn't be using Driver Booster, but it happened and I would appreciate your helpMy PC is not connecting to LAN internet anymore suddenly after driver booster updated the driversThe LAN driver in the Device Manager has a yellow exclamation mark. I have tried uninstalling the driver, however the problem is the PC is not being able to install any of the LAN driver versions I get. the CMD just pops up fast and does not install. So I

Driver Booster

Never suggested you stop using Driver Booster. I too have used it previously without any problems but others have reported problems with it which is why I said Driver Booster might do so. Intel Driver and Support Assistant is a product of Intel. It's your business whether you choose to use it or not, not mine.

Please try the below methods and check:

Method 1: Internet Connection Troubleshoot

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key + X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
  Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter.
  

Method 2: I suggest you to update drivers and check if that helps. If that issue persist please uninstall and reinstall latest drivers available in manufacturer
website.

• Press “Windows + X” and select Device manger.
• Select Network Adapter and expand the driver icon.
• 
  Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
  
• 
  Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.

Can't connect to the internet over LAN or wifi; can't install WLAN drivers

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I did indeed try out the steps you listed and they didn't work.

Please note that for future reference, my internet is working fine- I have my desktop connected via a LAN cable and that's how am able to reply to your messages and I can connect my cellphone over WiFi. I have also tried connecting my laptop with the help
of a LAN cable and it still doesn't connect.

I have a Lenovo G580-20157 and had upgraded to windows 10 around march,2016. Now, on lenovo's official website, there are no drivers for windows 10 for this machine and thus I downloaded win 8.1 drivers. On trying to install the network adapter drivers of
win 8.1, I get an error message saying "realtek bluetooth suite doesn't work on this version of windows".

Kindly help me now.

I have attached an image showing the result of 'ipconfig' and pinging the default gateway.
