  2. Nokia 925 with 8.1 wifi connectivity issues

Is anyone experiencing WiFi connection issues to an open network when it comes to the WIFI? I have no problems connecting to secured WiFi networks, but at school I cannot connect to the school WiFi network which requires a secondary login and 'accept' through
a web browser. It goes through "connecting" then for a split second says "open browser" then immediately states "can't connect" to the network. Tried rebooting, soft reboot, and can't find an alternative.

    Thoughts??

  5. If it is a driver issue, you're going to need to connect by a wired connection and download it, or download it on another computer and copy it to a flash drive.

I keep all my system drivers updated on a flash drive so I have them available offline, should I need them.

Microsoft will provide drivers automatically through windows update for most of the common WiFi adapters, but you do need to be connected by Ethernet for that to happen.

More than that we can't say until we know what equipment you have.

    Hi there
as a backup for this type of problem -- get a cheap USB-->LAN adapter -- these always work --never heard of a case where this isn't so -- USB2 or USB3 -- doesn't matter and then plug the connector into your router or extender if you have a wifi extender. That will get initial connection to the internet from where you can download wifi drivers - or these days Windows 10 will find pretty well all of them via windows update.

Usually available on amazon - take your pick -- I'd go for the faster ones though if you are doing this.

For UK etc but it's bound to be the same for USA - just search amazon.

    Amazon.co.uk: usb lan connector

    Cheers
