Windows 10: Can't connect to windows display adapter b6

Hi All,I purchased a Microsoft Display Adapter many years ago in hopes I could connect to my projector from my PC wireleslly. At the time, my computer didn't have bluetooth and it was unsuccessful. Fast forward a few years, I have a brand new PC with bluetooth. Still can't connect.I plug in the HMDI + USB to the projector, and I see the following:I tried windows + k to cast to the device. I followed the steps for connection and troubleshooting the device as listed in microsoft support articles. I tried updating windows. I tried connecting with the Wireless Display Adapter app. Nothing worked

Windows Wireless Display Adapter-not connecting anymore

Hello Phillip,

Did you notice any changes on your PC prior to the issue? I suggest that you follow the steps outlined in this support article:
Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

Since updating drivers did not work, in addition, you can try to reset the Wireless Adapter.

1. On the adapter, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
2. When the message " Ready to connect "shows, open the
   Action Center.
3. Select Connect, and in the list of displays, select
   Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.

1. What is the make and model of the computer?
   
2. What is the model of the TV?
   

This issue can occur if there is pending firmware update or the issue with the drivers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and let us know about the results:

Method 2: Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

Microsoft Display Adapter not getting connected to PC

Thank you for posting your response.

I would suggest that you follow the steps below and check if you can find the adapter in Device Manager.

1. Right click on the Start Menu and then click on Device Manager.

2. From the list of Hardware, find the Microsoft Display Adapter and check if you can find the device in question.

I would also suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the first link and check if it helps.
