Windows 10: Can't connect to Windows network services from WSL2

I have Ubuntu 18.04 running in WSL2, from which I want to connect to Docker Desktop running on Windows.


From cmd.exe I see that Docker service is listening on 127.0.0.1:2375:

C:\Windows\System32>curl 127.0.0.1:2375/info

But in WSL2, I got this output by `docker info`:

`ERROR: Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at tcp://127.0.0.1:2375. Is the docker daemon running?`


No connection to 127.0.0.1:2375 from WLS2:

$ curl 127.0.0.1:2375

curl: 7 Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1 port 2375: Connection refused


The option "Expose daemon on tcp://localhost:2375 without TLS" is ticked.

Thanks for the quick response. Have you tried to follow and run all the steps provided on the link above?



How are you trying to connect to the network? Wi-Fi / Lan?

• If you’re trying to connect via Wi-Fi, kindly check if the Wi-Fi service is enabled on your computer.

• If you’re connected via LAN, kindly unplug and re-plug the Ethernet cable connect from your computer to the router.

To further isolate this issue, kindly try connecting another device on the Internet and check if the same issue occurs.

Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.
