Windows 10: Cant connect to wireless networks after update kb4559309

on my HP 250 G7 running Windows 10 v1903 for x64 .

After the latest update KB4559309 - which can't be uninstalled DHCP isnt working on either wired or wireless network adapters, configuring IP address manually lets me into ethernet, but nothing will allow me to connect wirelessly. The adapter is showing in control panel but cannot display available networks.

Further delving seems to indicate a problem with the DHCP client service. If I try to start it manually I get the error message "Windows could not start the DHCP Client service on Local Computer. Error 193:0xc1"

The wireless and ethernet icons do not appear in the taskbar and I cannot add them.

Help thinks I am not connected to the internet, although I am. If I run the Internet troubleshooter it gives the error message "Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings.

I hope someone can help with this.

Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

Change Wireless Network Connection Priority Order in Windows 10

The command in step 2 of Option Two should show your wireless networks listed in priority order. Top of the list is higher.
