Windows 10: Cant Connect to Workgroup -\\SERVER while every other computer can....

Discus and support Cant Connect to Workgroup -\\SERVER while every other computer can.... in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I'm having an issue where I cant connect to a parent folder on \\SERVER but I'm able to connect to some subfolders?     Cant Connect to Workgroup -\\SERVER while every other computer can....


    I'm having an issue where I cant connect to a parent folder on \\SERVER but I'm able to connect to some subfolders? I did this by having the folder on my quick access bar.

    I've set the network options appropriately (same as all the other computers)-disabled network password as well and I did a network flush in CMD Admin.

    • Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
    • Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter.
    • Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
    • Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
    Any thoughts on what could be the issue?

    Switch from Homegroup to Workgroup

    Hello, I had 4 W7 PCs in a Workgroup WiFi network, sharing files, Internet connection and printers each other, one of those W7 PCs was upgraded to Windows 10, and it have Homegroup instead of Workgroup, it can connect to WiFi and Internet, but can't connect
    into Workgroup so it cant share folders and devices, I suspect it's because it have Homegroup instead of Workgroup, is there a way to switch this PC to Workgroup? thanks

    windows cant communicate with the device or resource (primary dns server)

    You don't need DNS for local connections, e.g. for Homegroup or Workgroup. Is that working? If not, it would be a simpler case to work on first.
