Windows 10: Can't connect to Xbox Controller using Bluetooth

Hi Windows Forum,


I can't connect to my Xbox Wireless Controller using my Bluetooth adapter on my computer any longer since I've updated its firmware to 4.8.1923.0.

I've tried connecting the controller to my Laptop which worked without any problems. Connecting other devices to my computer using the adapter such as my phone or a Bluetooth speaker works too, it's only the controller I can't connect.

When I try to connect my controller Windows tells me that the pairing was successfully but doesn't actually connect to the device. After a short period of time the controller disappears from the device list.

My first guess is that the newer firmware doesn't support the Bluetooth protocol of my adapter but it's just a guess I couldn't confirm yet.

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.
