Windows 10: Can't control brightness/Display adapters gone

Discus and support Can't control brightness/Display adapters gone in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I am no longer able to control the brightness on my laptop.     Can't control brightness/Display adapters gone


    I am no longer able to control the brightness on my laptop. I have uninstalled the last several updates, as I'm quite sure something in one of them did this. I wanted to update drivers, but display adapters doesn't even show in device manager. Please help.

    Brightness control not working

    Hi,

    My name is Angel. I am an Independent Advisor. Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I would suggest you to follow these steps:

    1. Go into "Control Panel" and then "Power Options".

    2. Click the "Change plan settings" link next to which ever plan you are currently using and then click "Change advance power settings".

    3. In this new window click "Display" to open up the listings under it.

    4. Now locate and click each of the following..."Display brightness", "Dimmed display brightness" and"Enable adaptive brightness".

    5. Change each of these to the settings you wish, then click the "Apply" button and finally the "OK" button.

    6. You should be good.

    About display adaptive brightness issue

    I have Lenovo Ideapad 320 15ISK with original windows 10. I updated the display driver. After that display brightness will automatically changes for different apps. But I want only constant brightness level. I already checked that in control panel enable
    adaptive brightness settings. How can I disable the adaptive brightness.
