Windows 10: Can't COPY install.wim file from USB to PC Internal HDD.

I have been performing housekeeping on the MANY USB's that I have.

I have a USB folder that contains an extracted ISO [ Win Vista ] with a custom install.wim file.

On my Win 10 Desktop PC, I have an extra Internal HDD that I wanted to Copy the install.wim file to. I have NOT had any problems copying other files to the Internal HDD.

[1] I tried using a different USB Port, but to NO avail.
[2] There were NO Explorer Windows Open.
[3] I Restarted the PC.
[4] Neither Disk is Encrypted in ANY way.
[5] I can Cut & Paste or Copy & Paste ANY other file on the USB.
[6] The USB and the Internal HDD are NTFS.
[7] Using Copy & Paste, it says . . .

Anyway, I thought I would perform the Copy process from an Elevated Command Prompt on just the install.wim file to the Desktop [ as a test ], but even that will NOT work.

[1] Would I need to Force the Copy?
[2] I Don't want to attempt a Move in case I Lose the file all together.

I might have the file somewhere else but I Don't want to take that chance at the moment.

Has anyone got any ideas please?

Compacting a wim file?

Sorry, no idea where to put this. I just recently learned how to use dism. I use it to slipstream all hotfixes and ie10 ect into an AIO install disc. The problem is, it creates a huge install.wim after 8 index mounts and slipstreams. Considering all 8 images use the same darn wim and files, don't know why it has to increase the wim size by 1gig. Either I need to figure out how to use the same wim.install file for all indexes, or I need to compact the wim file which is now 4gbs with ie10 and all updates to April. Any way to do either?

 

Error 0x80070057: The parameter is incorrect when copying files from internal HDD to USB External HDD

Every time I when copying files from internal HDD to USB External HDD I receive this errors. That happened after the update on 04/11/2018 win 10 home 1709

I click uninstall. After several hours is not happen and I click cancel. I restart the windows and then start the uninstall.

The problem remains I can copy files among folders in external HDD, I can copy files from external HDD to internal HDD but I can not copy files from internal HDD to external HDD.

And in the next reboot of Win the KB4093112 is install again
