Windows 10: Can't copy large files without I/O error

How do I copy large files from my external hard drive to my internal hard drive? Both are NTFS formatted so I don't think either needs to be reformatted, I have multiple large files 13.7 GB, 5.72 GB, 52.8 GB etc and I can't copy any of them without getting the error 0x8007045D - "The request could not be performed because of an I/O error." I do not think that this is a problem with the external hard drive, since I have managed to copy many smaller files from the same drive. previouslyThank you in advance for your help.

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one
