Windows 10: Can’t create a new account

Why can’t I create a new account? I need to in order to still have access once my school closes this one but every time I try to make one, it asks me to verify a phone number and continuously says “we cannot send a text to this phone number.” I’ve tried putting in two different phone numbers and even the phone number of an android but keep getting the same issue.

Am unable to create a new user. Accounts -> Add someone else to this PC options is not working to create a new account.

Do not worry we will help you with this issue.

Try few of the troubleshooting steps below and check if it helps.

I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the computer, sign-in and check with the status of this issue. As this might be a temporary issue.

Follow the below steps to create a new user account:

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on
  Control Panel.
• Select User Accounts, click on Manage another account.
• Select Add a new user in PC settings, click on
  Add someone else to this PC and follow onscreen instructions.

The error code that your are getting when adding an account is usually caused by the following:

• Your phone has an incorrect date and time set.
• You do not have a data connection.
• Your phone is in a "bad state."

Unable to create new User account
