Windows 10: Cant create MS Account for Windows Laptop - business/school mail is not allowed

We hired a new employee and thus bought new hardware etc. When we try to add a new ms account to his new notebook windows 11 using his email, we receive an error message stating, that an business email is not allowed here and we should use a private one. The other option, to log into a business account does not work either, since our company does not use microsoft for mail-accountsSince a private email does not exist, I do not know how to go on from here.We were able to create ms accounts for all our employees and I do not understand what is different for this one.So my question is, how do

Creating a MS account without losing Local account

Go to https://account.microsoft.com, click Create account and fill the form:





With a Microsoft account you can then use OneDrive and Office Online apps for free. You can also use built-in native Windows apps which require a Microsoft account like Mail, Skype Preview, People, Calendar and download apps from Windows Store.

Yes, once 2-factor authentication is enabled you should then create the app specific password & enter it instead of the account password.

If you’ve tried all suggestions including setting up two factor authentication & creating an app specific password for the account then there may be a problem with the Mail app.
As it’s also doing this with GMail then it does sound like an authentication problem as both this & Yahoo dislike working with insecure apps.
The free version of Revo now allows you to uninstall Apps.
