Windows 10: cant delete a disk using diskpart

hello, i got a old ssd called memory ghost. its a sata ssd 128gb. this ssd already install window 10 22h2 by accidently and i want to delete it. i tried to use diskpart to delete but it seems to cant delete. i also try to use disk management to delete but also cant. i also use DiskGenius but cant. The problem is i still got the file back.please help me to delete this disk. thank you!

diskpart doesn't show disk

Hey,

I am trying to install Win10 on a mac book air.

However the diskpart does not list the disk even after reformatting the partition as NTFS per suggestion.

read through this solution but cannot move to step 1 listed in the solution by Ivan as that disk doesn't see that partition it was just able to reformat.

I suggest you to log-in as an administrator with Microsoft account, try the below and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps to delete the partition from Command Prompt and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on Command Prompt (Admin)
• Type: diskpart
• At the DISKPART prompt, type: list disk (Make note of the disk number of the disk from which you want to delete the partition.)
• At the DISKPART prompt, type: select diskn (Select the disk
  n from which you want to delete the partition.)
• At the DISKPART prompt, type: list partition (Make note of the number of the partition that you want to delete.)
• At the DISKPART prompt, type: select partition (Select the partition
  n that you want to delete.)
• At the DISKPART prompt, type: delete partition

Caution

• Deleting a partition on a dynamic disk can delete all dynamic volumes on the disk, thus leaving the disk in a corrupt state. To delete a dynamic volume, use the
  delete volume command instead. For instructions on how to delete a dynamic volume, see Related Topics.
• When you delete a partition, all data on that deleted partition or logical drive is lost.
• You cannot recover deleted partitions or logical drives.

Disk Management not responding in Windows 11 - not able to delete 'Basic Data Partition' D:

I suggest you use diskpart as follows. Press the Windows Logo key+X and choose Command Prompt (Admin) or Powershell (Admin) equivalent command. Type these commands and press Enter after each one. The capitals are for clarity only, but note the spaces in the commands.

DISKPART and press Enter

LIST DISK and press Enter

SELECT DISK n and press Enter (n corresponds to the disk you want to delete from)

LIST PARTITION

SELECT PARTITION n and press Enter (n corresponds to the partition to be deleted)

DELETE PARTITION OVERRIDE and press Enter
