Windows 10: Can't Delete Corrupted File??? Please help!

I was messing around with a random file I had on my pc, it was an important file to the pc and the pc still functions fine. While i was messing around, I renamed it to have .zip at the end. It wasn't working anymore, so I just decided to delete it. It gave me the notification that it was corrupted. I did a little searching online and tried putting it in the recycle bin. That did not work. I tried to type chkdsk /f h: into the command prompt. I got an error saying Cannot open volume for direct access. Are there any other ways to fix this??? I am worried that if I restart my computer, it might n

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:

• Open WinRAR application in your system.
• Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
• A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
• Now click Open button.
• Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
• Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
• Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
• Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
• WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.

I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.

If its many rar files just delete the corrupted one and then download it again

 

Help !!! delete temporary internet files options are corrupted and freezing

when I try to use internet options or disk cleaner to clear my temp internet files they get stuck in an endless search for the files that has gone 32 hours straight non-stop as of now. all the "just click this button" options don't fix it.

I recall a while back there was a way to go into the files and delete them manually to clear this corruption but I don't remember how

and I have something else strange going on as well. with "show all hidden files and folders" enabled, when I open "C:\Users\karl\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows" there is no temporary internet Files folder there but when I create one (thinking that was the problem) it tells me there is already a folder there with that name yet its not there

I have windows 7 home premium OS
