can't delete easy media player files

I recently downloaded windows easy media player to my windows 10 computer. I could not use it because all the instructions say to click on "file" to start, but there is no such thing.

So I tried to delete it. I get error message saying I need permission from trusted installer.

My profile says I am already an administrator. What do I have to do next?

    :)

  2. deleting podcasts from my mp3 on win 10 media player

    Hi Ernie,

We realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with not able to delete files from mp3 player using Windows Media player. We will certainly help you.

This issue might occur when the Mp3 file is broken or when it is not compatible with the Windows Media Player or other media players.

Firstly, I would suggest you to open Media player and try to refresh the device and try deleting the songs.

Method 2: Run Windows Media Player Troubleshooter.

I suggest you to run Windows Media Player Troubleshooter. Follow the below steps to run Windows Media Player:

    • Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
    • In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting.
    • Click View all, and then click Windows Media Player Settings.
If the issue persists then follow the below method.

For information about how to reset your device, see the documentation that came with your device.

Method 2: If the above steps do not help, you may try to delete music files directly from the mp3 player, follow the steps below:

To delete music files using the computer, follow these steps:

    1. Connect your mp3 player to the computer.

    2. Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial connection.

    3. Locate the folder where your music files are stored.

    4. Right click and select delete the music files or folder.

Let us know the results. We will be happy to assist you further.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

What is the exact error message you get when you to try play files on Windows Media Player?

I suggest you to run both Windows Media Player Library and Settings troubleshooter and check.

Step 1: If your computer is having problems playing video or audio files in Windows Media Player, try using the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter to fix the problem. The troubleshooter checks the configuration and network settings
for Windows Media Player to make sure that you can play content you've downloaded and saved to your computer, or content streaming over a network or the Internet.

Steps to run Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter are as follows:

    • Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
    • In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click
      Troubleshooting.
    • Click View all, and then click Windows Media Player Settings
      and follow the instructions.

Step 2: If your computer is having problems accessing your collection of digital media files in the Windows Media Player Library, try using the Windows Media Player Library troubleshooter to fix the problem. The troubleshooter makes sure
Windows Media Player is correctly installed on your computer, and checks to see whether your Player Library is corrupted.

Steps to run Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter are as follows:

    • Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
    • In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click
      Troubleshooting.
    • Click View all, and then click Windows Media Player Library
      and follow the instructions.

Please reply us on the status of the issue to assist you further.

    Media players

    Personal question here, wtf?

You've posted into the free program list with a media player: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...e-usually-for-free.144395/page-8#post-3357066

Immediately prior to that post you create a thread asking for people to talk about media players. I don't get the logic. If you're going to start off asking for media players, then there are multiple listed on that thread. If the intention was a review, the other thread also had them. Is this just an opinion thread?

    Edit:
Let me clarify. The other thread has links. It has discussion. It has opinions. This thread seems to be a parallel, if less broad, topic.
