Can't delete/move/rename a folder with 3 dots ... at the end. "Location is not available"

Being a bit vague on purposeI wrote a program that creates folders and files in AppData based on the names of other items in the program. I carelessly gave some of those items names that were phrases, ending with three dots. Example: "This file is beautiful... "Everything worked out fine until I try to delete those folders and files I was creating. If I try to open any of the folders that were created with three dots in the end I get the message "Location is not available"If I try to move, delete, force delete, CMD delete, or rename any of those folders I get the message "Item not found" "Cou

  2. can't remove/rename folder with dot at the end

Please consider a situation - a folder was created named "example." (notice the dot at the end)

    it's being displayed as "example."

attempt of opening results in: error - location is unavailable* (and in the error message body the path is displayed as "C:\example" - no dot)

attempt of removing results in: error - location is unavailable* (same as above)

attempt of renaming results in: error - can't find element* (and in the error message body the folder name is displayed as "example." - with dot)

I also tried elevated cmd (commands ran in the directory containing the broken folder):

resulted in "Could Not Find c:\example."

resulted in "couldn't find indicated file"*

    * error messages marked with the asterisk are translated from a localized version of the message (my OS language isn't the original english)

The question is: how can I get rid of this folder?

    Thanks

  3. restoring a deleted file or folder to a different location

I've been caught numerous times by "implied" questions. No more.

If you're lucky then the folder is still available in the Recycle Bin. You can restore it from there, but only to the original location. You should now do this:

    1. If the original folder still exists in Windows Explorer, rename it, e.g. by adding the suffix .org.
    2. Right-click the deleted folder in the Recycle Bin, then left-click "Restore".
    3. Consider implementing a robust backup scheme. Lots of people defer this step until they suffer a major catastrophe. We see their posts regularly in this forum.
