Can't delete "$WINDOWS.~BT" folder after having issues with the insider program

I joined and then opted out the Insider Program beta stream I think a while ago, but apparently it automatically downloaded and prepared an update to Windows 11 for some reason, I am still on Windows 10 Pro which I didn't want. Trying to prevent the update, I turned off my PC which probably was a bad idea. When I turned it back on, everything seemed fine, but this "$WINDOWS.~BT" appeared on my C: drive and took like 50GB+ of storage space. I tried deleting it which mostly worked, but I didn't have permission to get rid of some of the subfolders, namely NewOS which contains Program Files,

The Windows $BT folder is there in case you want to recover the old OS. It's not needed for an upgrade.

But here's a link anyway....*Smile Can't delete "$WINDOWS.~BT" folder after having issues with the insider program :) Windows 10 Build 10240

Can't delete "$WINDOWS.~BT" folder after having issues with the insider program

I deleted $Windows~.BT folder that was propably Windows 10 files. How to recover?

    Hello,

So about two weeks ago I deleted a $Windows~.BT folder (through the cmd). Now I know that was Windows 10 files ready for install.

How can I download it again? I'm sure I need to reinstall some update. But which?
