Windows 10: Can't delete WindowsApps folder on External drive after moving all apps from external to...

I recently encountered an issue with my external drive setup on my laptop. Initially, when my primary drive C: drive was running low on space, I used the Windows built-in feature to move some applications to my external drive D: drive. However, I later decided to keep all applications on my primary drive for better performance.Currently, I have no applications on my external drive, but there is a folder named "WindowsApp" that I am unable to remove. When attempting to delete the folder, I receive a permission prompt. Upon confirming, I get an error stating, "You need permission to perform

RETRIEVE FILES FROM WINDOWSAPP EXTERNAL DRIVE

I discovered a "windowsapp" folder that unknowingly appeared on an external drive after I inadvertently moved a folder into it. I an not concerned about any of the window files, but I need to retrieve the folder with many of
my own files. I have been unable to access, move or edit the "windowsapp" folder.

I am concerned windows will automatically attempt to restore this folder by replacing "old" windows files with "new" window files, and the folder moved into it by accident, gets deleted in the process, etc.

How can I extract or access my files from the windowsapp folder on my external drive?

 

Broken WindowsApp folder in external drive

So I have the game pass and I'm trying to find out what's been blocking me from installing it to my external drive. Long story short I use to be able to, but recently became incapable of it, only to find a windowsapp folder on the drive that's empty and with no stated owner. Not "Trusted installer" but "unable to display owner."

The folder still can't be deleted and I'm convinced it's the issue as posts of the same issue from another time suggested deleting that exact folder. Either way, I'd like to know if and how I would be able to at least repair this folder and have its owner recognized because even with a TakeOwnership Tool the folder doesn't budge its binds.

 

Moving or installing Apps to External Device(Pen drive) in Windows10

Hi,

I am using Windows10. How can I install the apps or games from windows Store directly to External Device(Pen drive or External Hard disk). and also tell me that how to move the installed app to External Device(Pen drive or External Hard disk). I tried to
move the apps from the WindowsApps Folder to pen drive(by crating the same folder name) but it shows error(apps can only run with App Container) or something like that. Please Clear me about that.
