    Can't drag and drop when I run 3ds Max as Admin.


    I want to install Max script by drag and dropping, but when I do this Its shows an error which I figured it as admin privileges problem, but when I run 3ds max as Admin it prevents me to drag and drop... please help!

    My administrator account is acting weird since I upgraded to win10

    Sadly this didnt help because I already have uac turned off completely.

    Even with that said,I still have to run as administrator to run 3ds max.

    Before going to win10 I was able to run by double clicking on the icon and also I was able to drag images and drop them inside 3ds max.

    Why I mentioned administrator and uac?

    Because I read on some forums where people had similar problems and uac was the thing that caused them.

    Hi

    Before I could start any program by just clicking on it twice and didnt have to run as admin or anything like that because I disabled those prompts in win7.

    Now in win10 that options was turned on apparently.

    I disabled it again,but the applications dont want to run if I dont click on run as administrator.

    What particlulary bothers me is that I am using Autodesk 3ds max and need to drag images in to it,but cuz of this uac issues I cant do that even if I did run as admin the app.

    I even tried it on a hidden administrator account and got the same results.

    Since the only thing that is different is windows I am assuming it's win10 fault,so what do I do?

    Can't drag and drop when I run 3ds Max as Admin.

    You cannot drag anything from Explorer to an Application running as Admin, a program that is not running at Admin level cannot interact with a program that is. This is for security, having a low level employee controlling the managers would not be good.
