Windows 10: Can't enable either Hyper-V or Windows Sandbox in Windows 11

Hi:I have been trying to enable either Hyper-V or Windows Sandbox on my recently installed Windows 11 PC. So far both processes seem to require Virtualization to be enabled in the BIOS settings - that is done. Then, either one requires some Windows Features to be enabled separate ones for Hyper-V and for Windows Sandbox. When I try to do that, in either case, I get the same response. The feature is located and installed and then I'm asked to restart my PC. During the restart process, I get two error messages - one just says "Something went wrong" with no error codes, and that the featur

Can't Enable Hyper-V in Windows 10 Professional

I appreciate your effort on this. As per my research the error code 0x800f0831 is generated when .Net Framework 3.5 is not enabled on the computer. I suggest you to try enabling .Net Framework 3.5 on the computer. Follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type appwiz.cpl and click on
   OK.
   
3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off.
   
4. Now, select the check box for .Net Framework 3.5 and click on
   OK.
   
5. Restart the computer.
   

You can also check if Virtualization feature is enabled in BIOS or not, if it is not enabled, I suggest you to enable it.

Operating System Requirements

The Hyper-V
role can be enabled on these versions of Windows 10:

• Windows 10 Enterprise
• Windows 10 Professional
• Windows 10 Education

The Hyper-V role cannot be installed on:

• Windows 10 Home
• Windows 10 Mobile
• Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise

 

Windows Sandbox not found in start menu

• Virtualization in BIOS was already enabled because I use an Ubuntu VM in Hyper-V
• Hyper-v was enabled in Windows
• Then I updated Windows to 1903
• I enabled Sandbox and restarted
• Sandbox not found in start menu.

Then I tried to disable all and enable again. Another problem arose:

• I disabled Sandbox and Hyper-v in Windows and restarted pc
• I enabled Hyper-v and restarted pc
• My internet Ethernet connection didn't work
• I enabled Sandbox and restarted
• Sandbox not found in start menu

Now I've disabled Sandbox and Hyper-v because I need Internet connection.
