Can't encrypt system drive with bitlocker - Windows 10 pro and TPM activated

Hello Community,I have a problem I can't solve by myself. Since 2 days, I am trying to encrypt my system C: drive with BitLocker. To clarify, I have a Windows 10 Pro license and my TPM is activated I think. Still, I get an error when trying to encrypt my drive. Windows and most of my drivers have the latest versions. I have no experience with this, if anyone sees an obvious mistake I would be very thankful. My PC checks all the system requirements. I am using an APU Ryzen 7 5700g could this be the problem?Thank you in advance*** moved to english Community ***

Bitlocker in Windows 10 without TPM

As others here, I have my Win8.1 C: drive encrypted without a TPM and with a password. I am still unsure whether to upgrade to Win10. Your posts:

    • Told how to enable Bitlocker on Windows 10
    • Seemed limited to the BETA version of Windows 10
    QUESTIONS:

    • Can I simply upgrade to Win10 without decrypting my C: drive AND still use the same password on Bitlocker?
    • Can you confirm that Bitlocker WILL NOT revert to the default Bitlocker settings during the upgrade?
    • Will everything work as in your post on the production Win10 upgrade as on the trial versions?
Having to worry about losing a thumbdrive makes me quite uneasy--especially on the road. In the event of theft, the thumbdrive would likely be with the laptop; thus, obviating the reason for using Bitlocker in the first place.

The following points have given me concerns about upgrading to Win10:

    From the Win10 Specifications Page:

•BitLocker To Go requires a USB flash drive (Windows 10 Pro only).

•BitLocker requires either Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2, TPM 2.0 or a

USB flash drive (Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise only).

Did the post "kennethrallen replied on August 1, 2015S, See post history" relate to a removable drive; did Win10 incorrectly interpret the drive as removable because it was encrypted; or was the problem apparently something else?

    Thanks

    DJ

Windows 10 Bitlocker - install TPM

My Win 10 Pro system drive is already Bitlocker encrypted without a TPM chip on my motherboard.

If I now install a TPM on the motherboard, will Bitlocker make use of it? How do I enable it?

(I want to boot-up without the USB flash drive containing the Start up key.)

    Thanks, --Dave

"Unexpected network error" on BitLocker operating system drive encryption installation

    Hello there,

I recently did a clean reinstall of Windows 10 Pro on my desktop PC. After installing Windows, I wanted to enable BitLocker on all my hard drives. This worked on the "Fixed data drives" without any problem, but I can't seem to get it working on my OS drive.

Whenever I want to enable BitLocker on the OS drive, I only get to the point where I can choose to run the "BitLocker system check". If I do, the system restarts, then nothing happens, the BitLocker overview page in the Control Panel lets me enable BitLocker again.

If I choose to not perform the system check and click on "Start encrypting", an error will appear on the window, stating "An unexpected network error occurred."

What I tried to do to fix the problem:

    • Clear the TPM from within Windows
    • Clear the TPM in the UEFI
    • Disable the TPM in the UEFI (BitLocker didn't want to start, as expected)
    • Reenable TPM
    • Reinstall Windows

So what can I do to enable BitLocker on my Operating system drive too?
