    I wanted to share my solution to a problem that I was having when trying to switch from my local account to my Microsoft account. Here is a screenshot of the issue. Once you enter your Microsoft account password, you will be prompted to enter your Windows password. See screenshot. At first I did not understand this issue. FIX:You need to set up a local sign-in option. Navigation: Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > PasswordCreate a password and follow the remaining instructions.Now you can click "Your info" on the left sidebar when you are done and click "Sign in with a

  2. Why Microsoft do has password to enter on sign-in always on Windows 10?

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community, we appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

    I understand the inconvenience you are facing with entering the password before log-in to the computer, we will help you with this issue.

    I would like to inform that Windows 10 is by design you will have to enter a password to log-in as an Administrator account with Microsoft account. Local accounts can be used without entering the password.

    This feature is being implemented to make more secure with the user profiles.

    Also, Sign in with a Microsoft account

    If you are not comfort to enter long letters of password, youmay also create the 4 digit PIN which will reduce your time to enter full password.

    Follow the below steps.

    • Press Windows + I keys to open
      settings menu.
    • Click on Accounts.
    • Click on Sign in options.
    • Click on Add under PIN.
    • Follow the onscreen instructions to create Pin.
    • Sign out and try to sign in again using PIN as your Sign in option.

  3. Can't sign in to windows with the same password by which I am able to sign in to my Microsoft account

    This issue might occur if there is change in Microsoft account settings.



    To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

    • When you say that "windows using the same password", are you getting any error message when you enter the password?
    • Have you checked the issue while entering with a different keyboard?
    • Were you connected the computer to a internet connection while logging into the computer with Microsoft account?
    • When you say that "resetting the password.", have you tried to reset the password from Microsoft website?

    I suggest you to follow the steps below to enter the password through different keyboard and through On-screen keyboard. Check if it helps.

    Step 1: I suggest you to try entering the password with a different password.

    Step 2: I recommend you to check the internet connect of the computer and make sure that internet is available for the computer while enter the Microsoft password.

    Step 3: I suggest you to follow the steps provided in the Microsoft account and check if it helps.

    Password to sign in

    Hi Rosa,

    We appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

    Before proceeding, we need to know whether you are using Microsoft/Local account to sign in to Windows 10.

    If you are using Microsoft account to login to Windows 10, there is no option to disable the password and sign in to Windows 10 directly without entering password.

    Step 1:

    If you are using Local account to login to Windows 10, you can disable the password and sign in to Windows 10 directly without entering password. Follow the below steps if you use Local account.


    • Press Windows + I keys to open
      settings
      menu.

    • Click on Accounts.

    • Click on Sign in options.

    • Click on Change under Change your account password.

    • Enter your current password and leave the other two files for new password as empty and close the windows by clicking on
      OK button.

    • Sign out and try to sign in again and check.
    Step 2:

    You may also create the 4 digit PIN which will reduce your time to enter full password. Follow the below steps.


    • Press Windows + I keys to open
      settings
      menu.

    • Click on Accounts.

    • Click on Sign in options.

    • Click on Add under PIN.

    • Follow the onscreen instructions to create Pin.

    • Sign out and try to sign in again using PIN as your Sign in option.
