Windows 10: Can't factory reset my laptop

So yesterday my laptop got attacked by a malware and now I want to factory reset my laptop but when i go through the whole factory reset process it just boots up the screen that has Troubleshooting and advanced options on it i don't remember the name of the screen and there's no option to factory reset in that screenand when i shutdown and boot up my pc again everything is back to the way it was before and a massage saying:"There was a problem resetting your pc. no changes were made"i need some help, please :
