Windows 10: Can't factory restore or access anything.

Please help, my computer updated and now it won't let me factory restore, uninstall updates, denies access to scannow in cmd, denies access to restore from the cmd, and nothing pops up when trying to access anything that seems like it could help. I've tried solutions from similar posts, but can't because it won't let me access anything, except chrome and Firefox and games. All the actual settings and such don't open.

How to factory reset Cisco 1700 Router

Hopefully I can help you here....its a very common thing to happen.


First, I take it you dont know the passwords for console access or telnet/ssh?

I will assume that these devices belong to you.

step 1. Plug a cisco console cable into a serial port on your pc
step 2. Plug other end into Cisco console port
step 3. Using hyperterm or putty or similar connect to the serial port
step 4. boot router, and make sure you clearly can see the output (this confirms you have good serial comms)
step 5. if this fails, adjust the comm port settings (9600, 8,1,n are the default)
step 6. now you have to do the only hard part...send the break command:

Break command list: Break Commands

Go down the list and match your OS and SW and try the sequence suggested.

If this fails several times do what I do: Install putty (free) and then to send a break so you can get into rommom just hit "ctrl-a b".

 

Help accessing recovery partition

Hi guys, I just got this E-Systems 1201 laptop in and want to restore it to factory settings because the previous owner upgraded it to 7 and didn't do a very good job. I can't seem to access it as it was intended, due to the OS being replaced. I'm not sure if the drive was actually formatted, because the original drive label "Vista" is still in place.

Any suggestions?

 

One computer cannot access other network computers.


So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:

• Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
• Ran a bunch of network commands:
  • flushed DNS
  • registered dns
  • pinged and located the named computers successfully
• Reset my router to factory settings

Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

Any thoughts?
