Windows 10: cant figure out how to change bios to uefi

my pc is fried in a way that everytime i turn it on it just gets stuck on a screen where i can move my mouse of use my keyboard but they work when im in recovery mode etc. i pressed f10 when the splash screen appeared put in my password and now im ot where i think the ability to change from legacy to uefi should be but the is no boot tab and im just not sure what to do to change it from legacy to uefi.

UEFI and BIOS problem

After going though the steps of to access my Uefi/ Bios menu (go to advanced options, click recovery, restart, advanced options yadadada) my bios menu changed. I cannot for the life of me figure out how i can access my onboard chipset. I just want to
enable my onboard graphics card. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Should I change BIOS Mode to UEFI?

You boot into UEFI mode by disabling CSM mode (or possibly called legacy mode) in your UEFI settings. But, until you prepare your hard drive (or SSD) to boot in UEFI, you likely will fail to boot. To convert your HDD or SSD to boot in UEFI mode you could try this:
Convert Windows 10 from Legacy BIOS to UEFI without Data Loss

But, if you succeed in converting the HDD/SSD to GPT, and you can't change you BIOS to boot in UEFI mode, then again you will fail to boot. So, I would suggest that you really know what you are doing before you undertake changing legacy BIOS (CSM mode) booting to UEFI.

I would suggest running Ubuntu in a Virtual Machine rather than dual booting.

 

Coding language for BIOS?

That is what I was figuring. C or Assembly. I really like coding in C, so far more then C++.
