Cant find 1 computer in network

I just reinstalled win 10 v.2004 on my laptop and for a while i could see the laptop on my desktop in the network section of file explorer. while trying to connect to it from my desktop it disapeard and i can not find it. i can ping it and the laptop can ping the desktop. I downloaded netbscanner and ran it on both computer. on the laptop it shows the desktop as Desktop-8u9an71 and 192.168.1.95 and I have no problem accessing the desktop computer.
From my desktop I can not find my laptop in the Network section of File explorer. I can ping it and also netbscanner finds it as desktop-7dm32p7 and 192.168.1.68 but it is nowhere to be found on my desktop. also this one says YES for master Browser the other says no.

How can I get the computer to show up so I can exchange files?
    Thanks for any help

    :)

  2. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

One computer cannot access other network computers.

So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:
    • Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
    • Ran a bunch of network commands:
      • flushed DNS
      • registered dns
      • pinged and located the named computers successfully
    • Reset my router to factory settings

Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

    Any thoughts?

Cant find 1 computer in network

Connecting computer with no internet connection to network printer

    @dk1971
    1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig

    2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
