Windows 10: Can't find any Wi-Fi network, shows a sphere instead of usual Wi-Fi

Hi, recently I've been getting this icon and my laptop cannot find any network, and it shows this sphere icon thing instead of the usual Wi-Fi icon. This happens quite often right after booting up my laptop. It also happens often where I can initially connect on Wi-Fi, but it disconnects after awhile and this icon appears.

I upgraded to Windows10 maybe about 1 month ago and this problem started surfacing after, so I kind of guessed it was due to the upgrade. I haven't been able to find a solution yet...

I tried doing some troubleshooting, and some fixes online to no avail. What I've tried so far:

1) Restarting the laptop (sometimes it works, but usually it just shows the sphere icon, and I still cannot find any available network

2) Re-installing my network adapter from the Device Manager, but it still shows this icon with a warning sign - not sure if that is a problem.

3) Finding updates for the adapter's driver (right click > update driver) but it states that the driver's the latest

4) Disabling, then enabling the network adapter works around 70% of the time. Meaning to say the Wi-Fi returns to normal after doing that. However

4) Tried to see if it's my router issue, but I can still connect to my home Wi-Fi with other devices (i.e. my phone)

5) Tried to switch off Wi-Fi and turn it back on again. However when I go to Settings > Network & Internet, there's no option to toggle my Wi-Fi. If I remember correctly, the option is there when the Wi-Fi works occasionally.

6) I've been using my mobile hotspot at home recently, which works fine when I connect using my USB for the hotspot.

I'm currently using Asus Vivobook X505ZA, Windows version: 10.0.19041 Build 19041.

Appreciate if anyone has other solutions I can try before going down to customer service for my laptop... Thank you.
