Windows 10: Can't find windows 10 key after formating the computer

I bought an ASUS motherboard last year. I don't remember exactly but I'm almost sure when I installed windows for the first time it all went smooth and I didn't needed to place the key since it already "came" within the motherboardToday I accidently used a bootable pendrive I made on ANOTHER computera lenovo notebook to format my current computer . The notbook is NOT using any windows OS at now.After installing, I realized I lacked the key. and No, there isn't any key on "the bottom of the box", on the "email", "the dvd", the "floppy-disk" or whatever. It never had one. I tried ALL the cmd a

We upgraded windows 7 to 10. Many crashes and errors after that. So a format and clean install of windows 10. Activated automatically. Zero issues and no more crashes etc etc.
So I'm inclined to say to just go for it. And if a problem, then use your windows 7 key.

Google and download the "Windows 10 media creation tool"

Create a USB flash drive ISO and that's all you need...it will work without needing a key..
Just skip past entering a key during full install and delete all partitions, format, create new drive and install...

As long as you have upgraded from Windows 8 first...you need to do that prior to using your Windows 8 key for 10.

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
