Windows 10: Can't Fix Error Code 0x80070643

Started with the procedures from https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/error-0x80070643/3061d2e6-0af1-4d4d-a37c-aa59746776e1.


That didn't solve the problem, so I went to https://windows10.help/blogs/entry/23-troubleshoot-windows-update-problems-in-windows-10-using-these-five-tips/:

Troubleshooter didn't provide a fix.

Media Creation Tool wouldn't run (message that it is incompatible with my PC).

Deployment Image Servicing and Management was completed successfully, but I still couldn't update windows (still got Error Code 0x80070643).

Delete the Software Distribution Folder already done as one of the steps of https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/error-0x80070643/3061d2e6-0af1-4d4d-a37c-aa59746776e1.

Perform a Repair Upgrade and the two bonus items won't work because one of the other problems I am having is that whenever I try to download something I get a message that the download failed because the file contains a virus.


So, now I am in a Catch 22. Can't install Windows Defender virus definition, but something is saying all files downloaded are corrupt.


Another thing that cropped up while I was dealing with all of this is that I can no longer access BIOS setings.


Please help.

Hey

Try to apply the update manually As suggested by Microsoft. I just wrote a
step by step guide.

However be sure that the update itself is downloaded and that the installation part is failing, and not the downloading part.

Hi again, unfortunately I am still getting the same error code: 0x80070643 whenever I try to run windows update.... Do any one have any suggestion that I can use? I do appreciate any help that someone can offer.
