Windows 10: cant fix, open, reinstall, or remove microsoft store

i have tried everything i could think of, using tools to remove it, using cmd, even trying to remove it regularly. i just want to get my microsoft store working again. here is what happens when i try to click on it https://imgur.com/aC551xn and here is what happens when i open app settings https://imgur.com/xr6YlTl https://imgur.com/IHforV5 its almost as if it appears like a ghost app but i cant do anything about it. the last i can think of is that its a reg key issue. a virus may have caused this or i dont know it just simply stopped working, i need the store to update apps such as xbo

Thank you for your response. Let's assume that I go with the not recommended option, and remove the Microsoft Store from all accounts.

What then would be my next step, to reinstall it?

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Cannot open mail app settings


OK, my next suggestion was going to be uninstalling Mail and Calendar and reinstalling from the Windows Store. You can have a go at this by following these steps.

1. Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell.
2. Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.
3. Enter the below command to remove the Mail and calendar app.

get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage

After performing the above steps, install the Mail and calendar app from the Windows Store.

Hope this helps, you will, of course, have to add you accounts back again.
