Windows 10: Can't fix windows error code 0x80080005 (Windows 10)

I recently replaced my dead m.2 ssd with a Samsung 860 evo 1tb and since then I have gotten the error code 0x80080005 when trying to update/download anything from windows. Even after multiple ssd formats and clean installs the error code persists which is pretty strange. I have tried multiple "solutions" and so far absolutely none have helped or fixed the issue. I tried troubleshooting but it "tries" to fix the problem but it doesn't. I tried making a local admin account but the error persists there too. Another solution I tried was the whole open command prompt in admin and type net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver.


This did not work for me. I noticed that I can't do anything download or update related because wuaserv is stuck in some kind of starting loop or something. Because when ever I restart my PC windows update works for a few minutes before getting stuck on starting and preventing me from doing anything. I tried manually installing the update, that too didn't work. All my drivers are up to date. I'm sure I tried almost everything and so far nothing has worked and like I said before I completely wiped and formated the ssd and downloaded media creation tool with the latest windows update for a fresh clean install and even that didn't work. I'm starting to wonder if my new ssd could be the problem, if that is even possible. I've checked multiple times and never found anything wrong with it, no errors, up to date, as if it was perfect. I'm at a loss, I have no idea what could possibly be this machines problem. Please help .

I cannot send nor receive emails and get the error code 0x80080005. Any suggestions?

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
