    Can't force shut down frozen applications through Task Manager


    It seems to be a Windows 10 issue. If a program freezes up and refuses to close I can usually force-close it via Task Manager but not anymore. I often get this error message. I also get programs showing in Task Manager which aren't as far as I can tell actually open. It's a fairly new PC with now 16gb RAM. Adobe Animate formerly Flash Professional won't show and wasn't responding and I can't close it either besides shutting the PC down/logging out. What's going on?

    If I force shut down my pc while it is frozen, will it do anything bad?

    My computer doesn't have a battery, so when I force shut it down, I unplug the charger. (It is a pc not a monitor.) No app or game could prevent the shut down of me unplugging it due to the pc being at 0.001% of power at all times. I just wanted to know,
    will force shutting the computer down while it is frozen, have any different affect then when it is not frozen? Just a question out of curiosity. I haven't noticed anything different, so I just wanted to know.

    How does one shut down or restart and application. Is there no task manager for phone were processes and applications can be terminated. Many apps seem to remain on. In particular, I can't shut down the new pandora app "metro radio" without turning off
    phone.

    Windows 10 froze suddenly when I went through the search results tabs of a search done on torrent-finder.info. I was using Firefox (latest version). My fear is that I may have come across a dodgy website which caused the freeze. My Keepass Passwords Database was open at the time so I was even more apprehensive. This type of freeze had never happened before. The CPU light on my laptop turned on full-time and the interface became generally unresponsive. I could use the mouse but could not access task manager. So I saw no other option than to force shut down by holding down the power button.

    When attempting to boot up again the CPU light was on full-time again at the beginning. Then, after a little longer than usual CPU goes dead (no light) and I am left with the black screen with the blue windows logo and the spinning circle. At this step the boot process gets stuck.

    Any help/advice on how to proceed is greatly appreciated.
