Windows 10: Cant format a brand new Micro SDXC card

Discus and support Cant format a brand new Micro SDXC card in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I have just received a 256GB brand new Micro SDXC card and can't format it.I have tried both FAT and exFAT with the message saying Windows cannot...     Cant format a brand new Micro SDXC card


    I have just received a 256GB brand new Micro SDXC card and can't format it.I have tried both FAT and exFAT with the message saying Windows cannot complete the formatting.The Capacity shows Unknown capacity, FAT is default with options for exFAT and NTFS.Any ideas anyone?Thanks in advance.

    Yes it is a Micro SDhc (HC on card but recognized as a xc..?).

    Have tried every format App I could find. Yes I think it is corrupted, I finally submitted a RMA to SanDisk.

    Just waiting for a response. I will only buy full size SDxc's from now on...

    Hi, I have heard of issues like this where people used their phone to format the disk and were successful.

    Your microSDXC Card could be damaged or corrupted that is why you're having issues with formatting it. For better assistance, we'd like to ask you a few questions:

    • Can you provide us the exact error message that you're getting?
    • Are you using Micro SD card in the NTFS format?
    • Have you tried formatting your SD card using different devices?
