  1. Cant get any MST hubs to work on multiple computers with many different configurations

I am trying to get a display port 1.2 MST hub to split 2 monitors. Only 1 monitor works while the other gets no signal.

I have tried on different computers, GPUs, monitors, MST splitters, and none work. All devices are supposed to support MST.

I also bought 2 of these complete setups, so there's definitely no faulty parts.

    1x XFX 570 8GB Black GPU

*GPU has support for 6 monitors, and even has Eyefinity Technology should definitely support MST hub

    https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-1328MHz-Graphics-RX-570P8DBD6/dp/B078VCBGPV

    6x Alienware Monitor AW2720HF

*Multiple support calls and Dell claims this monitor supports MST. It has DP 1.2 listed on webpage as well.

    https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/new-alienware-27-gaming-monitor-aw2720hf/apd/210-atwf/monitors-monitor-accessories

    Tested Splitters:

    Startech: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-2-Port-DisplayPort-MST-Hub/dp/B00XXPYGPO

    SIIG: https://www.amazon.com/SIIG-DisplayPort-Multi-Monitor-Splitter-Adapter/dp/B084641DFB/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=dp+1.2+mst+splitter&qid=1609793864&s=electronics&sr=1-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzQjlGVTUwU0lVOVBMJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjc3NDExMUtFUTc4MERIRzAwUyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwODA4NzcwM0gzUzZCWkdONDA3UCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

Obviously, I'm using display port from the monitor to the splitter, and the splitter to the GPU. The splitter is plugged into USB and LED lights are on.

Windows 10 Home and Pro tested

The monitors are only 1080p, so it should easily be able to split them. They are set at 60hz by default even though they are 244 hz. I have tried reducing to minimum resolution and it doesn't affect anything.

I have installed/reinstalled drivers multiple times. I manually picked the driver, and also did automatic picker.

I tested this on a newly built custom PC, an HP gaming pc, and a new $5k alienware laptop.

    I have tried enabling/disabling DDC/CI on monitor.

I also tried HDMI to DP active and passive adapters.

If I go into Display Settings, it shows the monitors hooked up to the splitters, but I just can't extend/mirror them. They have blank value for display resolution.

Notice in the picture it says display settings could not be saved. That's what happens when I try to extend to the monitors with no signal. Clearly, the resolution and other values are blank. In advanced display settings, the monitor says it's not active.

This happens even with only 2 monitors hooked up on 1 splitter instead of 6. It happens on all the computers I've tested.

Most how to videos show everything as plug and play. There's some that mention bios settings but don't actually specify. Given that I've tried on 3 different motherboards/PCs, it seems insane that none of them would work due to BIOS. I wouldn't rule it out though.

My guess is Windows 10 or AMD drivers, but I have run out of things to test. Any ideas?

    :)

Club 3D Expands its Product Portfolio with New MST Hubs and HDMI Cables

Club 3D as the pioneer of Multi Stream Transport Hubs strengthen our presence in this segment with the announcement of the following products to complement our already established MST Hubs. Since our first introduction back in 2013, we are reaching a maturity level on these product lines and therefore we are introducing a lighter version packed in a polybag and powered solely with USB power. Compared to our further continued CSV-5XXX line of MST Hubs the new items will differ in some major points:
    • all models are powered by USB only, no power supply needed
    • different packaging: polybag instead of retail box
    • no reset button on the product, for repeating digital handshake just plug the MST Hub on/off from the Display Port.
    • no MiniDP to DP Adapter included in the box.

MST Hub is the easiest and cheapest solution to create a multi display environment with your DPTM 1.2 enabled device. CSV-6XXX MST Hubs will be coming with a reduced-price tag end of November. Please get in touch with your Club 3D contact to get detailed information on pricing and availability.

Multi Stream Transport (MST) Hub DisplayPort 1.2 Quad Monitor USB Powered - CSV-6400
CSV-6400 - The Club3D SenseVision MST Hubs utilize Multi Stream Transport, a unique DisplayPort 1.2 feature that creates the ability to transport multiple independent uncompressed display (and audio) streams over a single cable, supporting protected content and high performance applications such as 3D gaming. This enables the use of multiple monitors connected by MST hub configuration. The Club3D MST Hubs are able to distribute those video streams to the connected screens.

The Club3D MST Hubs do not increase the bandwidth of DisplayPort 1.2 outputs, but it enables the optimal use of it. CSV-6400 follows up on CSV-5400, the Quad Monitor MST Hub equipped with a power supply that has been sold and put on EOL with November 2017.

Following the big success of our HDMI range of products and especially our Premium High Speed HDMI 2.0 4K 60Hz UHD cables CAC-1310 and CAC-1311, we have received numerous requests to bring similar cables in longer versions. And here we go. Club 3D introduces three new items to its HDMI cable segment with 5, 10 and 15m length. The two longer versions are equipped with REDMERE chips to strengthen the signal over the long distance.

The new cables will be available before the end of the year. Please click on the item code below to get directly to the respective product page:

  4. Cant get any MST hubs to work on multiple computers with many different configurations

Club 3D Announces MST Display Hub

The TripleHead2Go doesn't have as much bandwidth and is not as flexible as this MST hub. The TripleHead2Go doesn't support 2560x1600 or even three 1920x1200 monitors like this MST hub.

edit: The TripleHead2Go also needs proprietary drivers software to work, whereas this is plug and play since it is part of the Displayport specification.
