Can't get back to normal display

My kids did something to the display. Every app, folder, etc is maximized and it doesn't work to click the resize button next to the X. I can't see a desktop - instead it's just a bunch of squares with a few app icons in each. If I drag down from the top of the app, the screen splits between the current app and other open apps.

I just want it to look normal, where you can see the open folders and apps behind your current app if it's not maximzed. Please help!

    :)

    Display shows a T

Thanks for your reply. A reset has fixed the issue! It must have been some sort of display artefact.

Except for this annoying "T", I could use Contacts functionality normally, eg scrolling down all contacts, clicking any letter to go to contacts starting with that letter.

When I first went into the Contacts listing screen the display showed those contacts beginning with a number, as per normal functionality.

When I selected a contact to see their details the T went away, only to come back again when I returned to the Contacts listing screen.

But the reset has cleared it. Once again many thanks.

    4870x2 won't display at 1680x1050 at all!

OK. Now I know what ur problem is. Step by step:
    1. Go to Catalyst Control Center
    2. Click on the word "Graphic" right on top left corner. It will display drop down menu
    3. Click on Display monitor and will see the list of monitor at near bottom
    4. Right Click the monitor and select "Configure". It will show up the window
    5. There will be 3 option to select. Select the middle one and then click on the tab which show the bar with 15%.
    6. Drag the bar to max, and the screen will stretch to the native resolution 1680x1050.
    7. Also click the tab with showing RGB drop down list and select the last one (it will change to image quality for pc).
    That's it. Good Luck.
