Windows 10: cant get hp or you to help me get solution to my lack of compatable drivers to operate my...

i dont understand why upgrading has to be a pain in the **** worse is trying to get a straight answer from hp . i have a touchsmart 520 pc and it had windows 7 i upgraded to windows 10 and i noticed that i dont have windows media center fine so i looked at my device manager and didnt see the tv tuner at all even thou i have one after a long exhasting search i determine that the drives were not compatable and coudnt be loaded with win 10 so i so at leaste 3 or 4 other media problems and drives that werent compatable as well i want to know how am i supose to fix this problem and make these things work cause none of the pvr will load which is a way around not having windows media center isnt there a fix for why i cant get the correct drives so that the computer will work the way it was intened.

HP Solution Center Software for HP 4850


I have an older HP Scanjet 4850 flatbed scanner but I need the HP Solution Center software in order for it to work and thus have a chance of it being compatible with Windows 10. I've had to use it in compatibility mode in Windows 7 and it had to downloaded from their site in the past... so it may or may not work anyway. HP has apparently removed it from their site if I list my model for drivers & downloads. You can download the driver but the HP Solution Center is not listed. Windows Compatibility Center says it is compatible if that means much.

Is this still available?

Inexpensive (around $100) flatbed scanners are hard to find anymore let alone being compatible with Windows 10. Are there any?

Do you think any listed as compatible with Windows 8 will also work with Windows 10?

I would like to inform you that as Windows 10 is latest Operating System and it would be needing latest device drivers to work correctly, as the Driver Updates are not available on the manufacturer website I suggest you to install
drivers in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Install the Driver in Compatibility mode:

Older drivers can be installed in compatibility mode in Windows 10. I suggest you to download the
Latest Drivers from Manufacturer website and install the in compatibility mode

• Right click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties.
• Select Compatibility Tab.
• Place a check mark next to Run this program in
  Compatibility Mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.
• Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.

Hp Envy particular driver is missing

Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

• Are you facing sound issues with the PC? If yes, can you elaborate the exact issue faced by you?
• Have you installed the latest Anniversary Update?

As per the information provided, I can see that under Device Manager your Audio Drivers are displayed which indicates that the driver for the same is installed and not missing.



I suggest that you right click on the driver I question, select Properties . General tab > check if there are any errors that display under the Driver Status dialog box.

Also if the have installed the Anniversary Update, I suggest that you download the drivers for 8/8.1 and installed the same in Compatibility Mode.

Step 1: Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
‘properties’.

Step 2: Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

Step 3: Restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
