Windows 10: Can't get internet on my laptop after a recent Windows 10 update.

A recent Windows 10 update worked for my desktop PC but it wrecked my laptop and I couldn't break out of the BSOD, no matter what. So I recovered it and all my programs and apps are gone. That can be brought back, but now my internet is messed up.


Also, when I attempted to make a bootable USB drive, I did it on my Asus desktop and now my HP laptop thinks it's an Asus and has all kinds of Asus identification on it.


But right now, the most important thing is to get my internet back up. If TS wants me to pay for this, I won't because it's not my fault.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
