  1. Can't get my screen back after Remote Desktop session?

    Hi everyone

this is kind of a specific use case, but I'm trying to switch back and forth on my PC between remote desktop mode from my other PC and back to my regular monitor. The problem I'm having is that when I switch to Remote Desktop and end the session, then when I turn on my actual monitor I get nothing but a black screen. If I reboot my PC I do get my screen back, but that's obviously not ideal.

I'm on the latest Windows 10 with a Geforce 3090 BTW. Also tried both HDMI and DP on the 3090 and it's the same issue. Is there a setting in Windows to allow my monitor to show up again after a Remote Desktop session?

    Thanks!

  2. Remote Desktop - Screen resolution in remote session

I have connected to a remote desktop session and the windows in the remote session are all too small for me to see.

I have edited the remote desktop connection settings and cannot seem to make anything larger.

I am using a new Dell Inspiron Laptop which has a very high screen resolution 3840 x 2160

    Any suggestions appreciated

    Thank you

  3. Windows 10 Virtual Desktop won't support "Use all my monitors..." in Remote Desktop

    Anyone else seeing this?

    • Create a new desktop with the Task View button.
    • Switch to the new, empty desktop.
    • Open a remote desktop session, selecting the "Use all my monitors for the remote screen" option.
    • The remote session opens on all screens, as desired, but it is also on all desktops.

I would like the remote session to "stay" on the virtual desktop it was opened on and leave everything else alone. This current state is rather worthless.

Remote Desktop - Device lock screen during session

    Hi All,

I've just recently started using Windows 10 Pro Remote Desktop

When I remote to another device, say a PC. This causes the PC to automatically go to the lock screen. This seems to be default. I can still remotely access the PC, everything is fine except the person at the PC can only see a locked screen.

Is there any way of keeping the desktop on the PC active and view-able while the remote session is underway instead of it going to lock screen?

    Thanks
