Windows 10: Can't get OpenOffice Calc into the drop down window to open spreadsheets from various sites

When u try to open a spread sheet from a site I get a drop down list allowing for Microsoft only options to open a spread sheet and do not have Ms Office so do not know which to choose on the list in lieu and doubt that any work. However when I click on Browse at bottom and search for OpenOffice Calc it does not come up and once it just left me hanging saying it was working on it as I would like to add that one I use permanently to the drop down list. Anyone, is there a way of doing this? thks

OpenOffice does not have an app like Outlook. Outlook is the only Office app where phone-compatibility matters (calendar/contacts/notes).

So, you can use OpenOffice just fine, and it won't be a problem with your phone.

If you have QuickOffice on the phone, then when you use OpenOffice, check if you still can save files (documents, presentations, spreadsheets) in Microsoft formats.

To reproduce the issue

Open a new excel file with open calc from openoffice

Type text in one cell : test

save this file as test.ods (format openoffice)

add this hyperlink : http://www.google.com

to last word : Test

Copy last word : Test, and paste it in a new message in livemail

In livemail check if hyperlink is on word "Test" ..... No, it has been stripped out !

Now dont 't waste more our time, and give solution. Also, as a microsoft client who pay its windows license, I expect a direct solution, not telling me to test some variants.. hope this is clear.
