Windows 10: Can't get past 'press any key to boot from CD / DVD...' part, nothing works.

Hello. It's over a month since I've had this issue - Windows wouldn't boot on my laptop no matter what. The core cause of that was that over a month ago I've tried building a Windows 10X FFU and flashing it on my 64 gig usb flash drive...What happened exactly after; Windows 10X booted successfully, I've even 'somewhat passed' the OOBE. The problem started after 20 minutes of waiting for it to load the desktop, which never happened. I've tried to reboot, and the situation got only worse; now Windows 10X couldn't even load the log in screen; it was stuck on a black screen, with only the cursor b

"Press any key to boot from CD" does NOT work

Today I created a recovery disk for EaseUS todo and when I went to check it, I could NOT get it to boot.

I was able to get to the window that says "Press any key to boot from a CD/DVD". Nothing happens. I even checked it with the DVD that was used to install Windows 10, with the same results.

Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this issue.

Booting from CD/DVD is a very slow process and take a while to load that make you think it's not working. 2nd, check if you have the option to by pass prompting "Press Any Key to boot ....", I don't use Todo Backup but with Macrium, the option when create a rescue CD/DVD is there, for example:

I would suggest you to follow the steps below:

  Press Windows key + X.
  
• 
  Click file explorer from the list.
  
• 
  Select the CD/DVD drive and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Select the files you want to copy from the CD/DVD, then select the drive where you want to paste or save.
