Windows 10: Can't get rid of Flash Player control panel item

I have tried the following:

Install KB4577586 , which is supposed to do the job: it returns 'update not applicable' exit code -2145124329


Unregistered the Flash plugin regsvr32 /u /s "c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\flash.ocx"

Removed renamed folder c:\windows\syswow64\macromed and c:\windows\system32\macromed

Removed renamed "c:\windows\syswow64\flashplayerApp.exe" and "c:\windows\syswow64\FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl"

Rebooted system

Still the control panel item is shown.


How can I get rid of Flash?

The Control Panel (Category View)

My apologies, Brink but I still do not get it.

The steps for both options are identical, the only difference is the location of the desired icons will need to be accessible for all users for Option 2. That's it.

Moreover, both the Mail and Flash Player (32-bit) applets are not listed in the list of Control Panel items for both options.

Since the previous update of Flash player for windows 10, in control panel, the icon of Flash player comes out as a sheet blank and flash player settings panel will not open

The mistake was after this update and now with the last remains the same

Has happened to someone?

 

Flash Player Settings in Control Panel?

Why are we still seeing an icon for Flash Player (32 bit) in Control Panel like this? I thought Flash was now embedded in browsers.
