This application does not work with this version of Windows

I have just upgraded my Samsung 900X Notebook from Win 7 Home Premium to Win 10 (both 64 Bit). Every time I start or restart I get a message inside a text box that says "This application does not work with this version of Windows". At the top of the Box
it says Fast Start - so I assume that "Fast Start" is the application that Doesn't work?

I can't find any application on my computer, or in the startup menu (or anywhere really) called Fast Start. It's annoying. Does anyone know what this is about, or how to fix it?

    Thanks,

    S

  3. Windows 10 Automatic Repair & BSOD loop

After upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7, I am getting a boot loop and I do not know how to get out of this.

    (1) At first, it boots and says "Preparing Automatic Repair" after that a Blue Screen! Then goes to (2).

    (2) Then my laptop restarts with a Windows 10 boot screen loading, after 2 seconds another BLUE SCREEN, and its restarts again going to (1).

So basically, this is an infinite loop.

I have a Samsung Notebook NP300E4E. Here are the things I tried:

    1. I tried going to the BIOS setup, but I can't. I tried pressing ESC, F1, F2, F3, F4... all F keys! I press those keys when the Samsung Logo appears. But it doesn't go to the BIOS setup. The logo seems to show fast. So I think it has the Fast Boot option
turned on before everything goes messy.

    2. I created a bootable USB drive, but it doesn't get detected. After the Samsung logo it just go to (1). I even tried F12 to load the boot options. But it doesn't show it.

Thing that I think that might solve it but doesn't know how to do it:

    (1) I have access to the HDD. I can remove it and plug it to a working Windows computer throught a usb to sata adapter. Is there something that should delete in their to have the loop resetted?

    Thank you everyone!

Can't get rid of message regarding Fast Booting on Samsung Notebook

Can you uninstall the Fast Booting program? If not, you may have to revert back to Windows 7, uninstall Fast Booting and reinstall Windows 10 again. There may be other programs from Samsung which are incompatible to Windows 10. Take a look at this information from Samsung: http://www.samsung.com/us/windows10/..._windows10.pdf (thanks to member geoffers who found this information).

Thought i'd add my 2p worth.

I have just upgraded my samsung series 9 from win 7 to win 10

I got the same message - Fast start.....

I reverted back to win 7, couldn't update (Samsung software listed win 8!) so I just did the win 10 upgrade again and the message didn't come up this time
