Windows 10: Can't get two Xbox elite controllers to work for local play on PC.

Hi, and thanks to anyone here to help. The issue we're running into is not being able to connect and use 2 elite controllers with the USB connector dongles one older and one new, both controllers synced to one and the other respectively The controllers are brand new and we were very excited to do local play. My PC does not have blutooth so there's no giving that a shot. Sometimes the controllers both show up as connected in the new steam interface, and can even be "edited" to add different controller settings, but alas, only one of either controller is working to connect to any games we try

Xbox Elite controller cannot connect on Windows 10 (bluetooth)

Thanks for the suggestions.

Unfortunately, all of these are about disconnect issue. My problem is that it doesn't even see the controller when trying to pair.

However, I tried with me Elite 2 - and bingo, that one works flawlessly (no disconnect issues for me).

So what I have is that

• original controller - works
  
• Elite 2 controller - works
  
• Elite controller - does NOT work
  

I ended up using my 'Elite 2' on PC and my 'Elite' for my Xbox

There are several reasons why your Xbox One controller is detected as an Xbox 360 controller by your PC. It is possible that the controller is not updated or if you previously used an Xbox 360 controller on the PC, it is still detecting its drivers instead
of the Xbox One controller drivers. To properly isolate your concern, please clarify the following information:

• Have you used an Xbox 360 controller on the same computer before?
• Does the error message occur on all of the games that you play?
• Have you tried to update the controller?
• Are you using an Xbox One Elite controller?
