Windows 10: Can't get Windows 11 to recognize my external camera for sign in

I have an MSI laptop that has a pretty lackluster, built-in camera. I decided to upgrade to a USB Logi external camera. I'm able to get to it work fine with Zoom, but as far as facial recognition when I first boot up or when my computer sleeps after a period of inactivity, it's a no go. I found a help thread that directed me to go to Settings ---> Accounts ---> Sign-in options ---> Ways to sign in ---> Facial recognition Windows Hello, where apparently there should be an option called "Select your preferred Hello camera", but that does not exist in my menu. External (Dell) monitor not recognized any more by Dell Precision 7560 after upgrade to Windows 11

• The connection is via a cable where one end is a DVI port connected to monitor and the other end is a HDMI port connected to laptop
  
• My other laptop, Dell XPS 15 with Ubuntu 20 - recognizes the external monitor.
  
• Before upgrading to Windows 11, problematic laptop (Dell Precision 7560) had Windows 10, and external monitor was recoginzed.
  

 

Toshiba external hard drive not recognized

I understand that the external hard drive is not recognized by the PC. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.
It would be great if you can answer these questions to assist you in a better way.

• Did you try connecting the Hardrive to different USB Port?
  
• Does the Hardrive get detected if you try connecting it to a different PC?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
  

I suggest you refer and follow the steps mentioned in the KB article and check if that resolves the issueError:
“USB Device not recognized” when you try to access a USB external hard drive

Note: Ignore method 2 & 5 from the above article.

Laptop suddenly stopped recognizing the external monitor

To assist you better, I would like to ask if the laptop is unable to recognize only the external monitor or other external devices also.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Click on “Hardware and Devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.
