    No sleep option when shutting down

    HELP!!! I have no sleep option when I shut down or sign out. How do I rectify this. I have run the troubleshooter no issues detected, tried Fast start up component and also restored default settings all without success. These ideas were suggested by Joy
    Kemprai. All I get is sign out, shut down or restart.

    Shutting down, hibernating, or sleeping?

    Speaking of ... I just built a new PC with an AMD Kaveri and Windows 7 64 and the option sleep is greyed out, I get shut down and hibernate; it's funny, on my PC (see specs) I get sleep and shut down not hibernate. I tried the bios but I'm clueless. Any ideas?

    Computer shuts down instead of going in to sleep mode

    Since two weeks my Dell laptop is shutting down every time when:

    • Closing the laptop
    • Pressing the power button short
    • Manually via the Start Menu
    All these options are set to Sleep Mode and not Shut Down.
