Windows 10: Can’t hear audio or voice from my headset microphone on my pc

Yesterday i couldn’t hear myself through my headphone microphone so i let the support person go on my pc and try to fix it. All they did was update the drivers multiple times and then they deleted the drivers for my audio so now i can’t hear my microphone or any audio from my pc. This is extremely frustrating.

Microphone picks up audio from PC, not my voice.

Problem:

I'm trying to talk to my friends using a voice chat app on my pc but it just plays stuff from the game i'm playing or video i'm watching, not my voice.

Headset has one pin for both microphone and audio

PC requires separate pins for both microphone and audio

For that reason I've bought an audio splitter

Your android headset or your apple headset stop working in January? It's not clear from your answers.

Your IT people should be able to figure out realtek driver issues and microphone sensitivity/volume issues for your android headset. Figure that out first.

You are chasing some faraway apple headset issue. Is your IT manager using the same laptop? Is it really the same apple headset? iPhones don't have audio jacks for a while and there are earbuds with volume controls and there are earbuds without. They look mostly the same.

 

Microphone and headset audio not working at the same time

Also, whenever I have my headset working, I try testing my microphone, and it barely works. It barely detects my voice, and I found out during testing, that instead of my voice, my pc audio is playing. For example, If I were to watch youtube in call, my friends would only hear the youtube video.
