Windows 10: Can’t input password on login.

When starting up pc I can’t get to log in screen, it just always shows as password is incorrect. No keyboard inputs work. Tried multiple mice/keyboards in different ports. Tried to get into recovery but get stuck on asking for password issue.Any help would be appreciated.

Let's go ahead and login to your computer while on safe mode and see if you'll be asked to input your password. Follow these steps:

• Press Shift + Restart button to open the
  Advance boot options.
• Once open, click Troubleshoot, then Advanced options.
• Click Startup Settings, then Restart.
• Restart your computer in Safe Mode. Input your password once prompted to login.
• Once logged in, uncheck Safe Boot.

Try to log in again and see if the password window appears

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

 

No login password craziness

Brink, that was the missing step. What threw me off was in netplwiz, where it asks about password for my MS account, the user name was not the same as my MS account name. Once I entered the password (twice) I can now login without entering a password. In fact the name that was listed was not the MS account name, but a folder name. The folder is the one that shows when you click on C:\Users.
