Windows 10: Can't install C++ 2015

In my control panel, it says that I have two VC++ 2015 x86 (one is version 14.0.24210 and the other is 14.0.24212). However, if I try to install another 2015 C++ x64 or x86, it gives me an error. And if I try to uninstall the two x86 that I already have, it gives me the 0x8007015e error.

I've tried a billion things already, could someone help me with this? (I can give you the log file if needed).

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to install the Visual C++ in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below on how to install software in compatibility mode:

1. Download the software from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the software and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the software install and then check the functionality.
