  1. Can't install game from Microsoft store to my D: disk. Only C:

I'm trying to install Fallout 76 from the microsoft store but when i try to click change disk, only the C: disk shows up. If i try to change the folder to a folder in the D: disk it says "Choose a folder in the C: disk". Why? I would tear my hair out over this, if I had any. Before you ask, yes I went to system -> storage -> where new apps are saved and changed it to my D: disk but it still doesn't work.I would upload some pictures of this, but that also fails when I try to do so... Sorry if I seem a little hostile, it's just that when apps like Steam, Ubisoft connect, Epic games

    :)

  2. Minecraft installation in Microsoft store

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand your concern as you are unable to install Minecraft in Microsoft Store. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

    • What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
      winver in Windows search/Run command)
    • Do you have any non-Microsoft antivirus program installed?
    • Does this issue occur for all games & apps from the store?
    • What is the date and time on the PC and ensure it is correct?
    • Do you get any error message or code?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these steps and after every step check if you are able to install the game.

Step 1: Reset the Windows Store Cache: Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the
Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

    Note:
A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

Step 2: Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter: Select the
Start button, and then select Settings>Update & Security
    > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.

Step 3: If you have any non-Microsoft security/antivirus software installed, disable it temporarily and then try installing the game.

Step 4: If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to create a new administrator user account and check, refer this article to

create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10
    .

  3. Using games from the microsoft store

Based on the results you've obtained, this can be an issue with the Windows Store which affects the digital games you’ve downloaded from it. We suggest manually resetting the Windows Store cache. Here are the steps:

    • Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
    • Type WSReset.exe and click OK.
    • The Store and a command prompt will now open with any message. The command prompt will automatically close after the Store's cache has been reset.
Once done with the reset, kindly click this
    link
and follow the steps on how to check for updates for apps and games from Windows Store. Search if there are any updates available for the affected game.

Keep us updated with the progress.

Can't install game from Microsoft store to my D: disk. Only C:

Unable to install a game on disk D

My drive C is too small to install anything on it. So I want to install a game
Forza Horizon 4 that I’ve purchased from Windows Store to my D: drive. However when
I click on Install and select the install location,
I get nothing. But if I am installing on the C: drive, it works flawlessly.
