    Cant install latest windows version at all, have tried many things.


    Hi Guys im updating my windows from 1809 to the latest version of windows that is out right now. I have tried installing this for the past 3 hours, but whenever my PC restarts to update, it makes it to 3% then shuts down and undoes all the changes it made and gives up the update. I have tried many things such as deleting everything in my Windows distribution download folder, Restarting the windows update services, Installing from the assistant and many other things, I've been spending all day trying to do this but have no luck at all.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    How to go about building a tri-boot system?

    i dual boot all the time, and going in to tri boot is easy.

    step 1) partition the drive in to 3 partitions ( leaving 1 empty for the linux installer. )
    step 2) install windows on the first 2 partitions.
    step 3) install linux, and let it auto partition the remaining space. ( i recommend at least 30gb of space for linux, because it will make things a lot easier. )

    step 4) enjoy.

    Even though I purchased Windows 7 about two weeks ago, I have not installed it yet. I just want to make sure I install all of the correct things. So, I should have to install
    • latest Intel Chipset Driver
    • latest Intel Matrix Storage Manager (is this the only RAID thing I have to install?)
    • latest Soundmax ADI Audio Driver
    • latest Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet Driver
    • latest Marvell SATA driver
    • latest ATI CCC and Driver
    • Windows 7 should install the hyperthreading driver by itself right? Vista did.
